Be it the festivals at temples, spiritual journeys (yatras), or the procession for immersion of God Ganesha, on all such occasions, one can see intoxicated people dancing to the tunes of western music. Through such acts, the occasion becomes one not of Gods, but of the demons. Such scenes are not to be found among any other Dharma(followers), participating in any religious programme. ‘Dancing after drinking liquor is a part of the religious programme’; such an impression has been formed on the psyche of the new generation. Be totally alert to prevent such instances. Prevention of such acts too is Sadhana (spiritual practice). – Paratpar Guru Dr. Jayant Athavale.
