Reading while sitting in toilet

Those who read the newspaper while sitting in the toilet do not realise that by doing such an act where they are not saving their time, but earning the wrath of Maa Saraswati. In the midst of performing the Seva (service) of Dharma Prasaar (spreading spirituality), I came into contact with many rich and so called modern families. When I visitied their home, I saw they keep a bunch of magazines and newspaper to read in the toilet. Remember, acquiring Vidya (knowledge) is a Yadnya Karma (sacrificial act) and a book is a means to acquire the knowledge. Whether the knowledge is worldly or spiritual in nature, it is not possible to acquire it without the grace of Goddess Saraswati. Thus, think for yourself how can one become eligible to receive God’s grace by condemning both the books, as well as the process of acquisition of knowledge in such conditions!
