Enemity ends with death

मरणान्तानि वैराणि निवृत्तं नः प्रयोजनम् ।
क्रीयतामस्य संस्कारो ममापेष्य यथा तव ॥
Meaning : Upon the death of Ravana, Shri Rama tells Bibhishana,”Our mission is now over and my enmity with Ravana ended with his death. Now Ravana is as much mine as he is yours; perform therefore his cremation properly.”
