अष्टादश पुराणानि धर्मशास्त्राणि सर्वश: ।
वेदा: साङ्गास्तथैकत्र भारतं चैकत: स्थितम् ।।
Meaning: The eighteen Purans, all the scriptures (Smrutis) and the Vedas with its parts are on one side and Bharat (ancient India) on the other. (Such is the greatness of this pious land.)
