कुसुमं वर्णसंपन्नंगन्धहीनं न शोभते |
न शोभते क्रियाहीनं मधुरं वचनं तथा ||
Meaning : A colorful flower without fragrance lacks grace. Similarly without supportive action only embellished talk is empty. The color of the flower is its external beauty while its fragrance is its inherent quality . Similarly without action (kriya) mere sweet talk is worthless.
